Nowadays I mostly volunteer at my aunt's childcare centre. Or the childcare centre that she works at.I think I like going there. I'm bored at home, and my aunt does not mind some help there( so does the other teachers). It counts into CIP too, I think. For secondary, I hope.
Yesterday I went there with elsa. Did like the toughest of all the tasks I've done so far. First thing was to cut some chinese phrases out for some chinese enrichment holiday programme thingy that my brother and my cousin is participating in. Then we had to cut the nametags out for the kids there for next year. after it, we had to put the nametags into some sort of plastic thingo and attach it to a landyard. The landyard was really hard to attach it to the plastic thing. Our fingers hurt after doing this task. Elsa did one more than me cause she was faster. We had to paste the chinese phrases that we cut previously onto cards that we shaped like stars. There was not enough stars so we had to make more using postcards. The stars' porpotions were wrong for the postcard so we spent like 1 and a 1/2 of an hour trying to make the 'perfect' star or at least a star that looks like a star for stenciling. I made mine by using a small star( there are small stars) and extending it by 0.5 cm each side. Elsa did hers by making the big star smaller. After it was lunch. Yum. After lunch there wasn't alot to do, so we pretty much read.
Today~
I wanted to sleep in abit cause yesterday after volunteering I went to orchard road to see the cristmas lights. Returned at 12am. So I went there 1 hour later than I was supposed to. It was okay anyway; i wasn't an employee.We (elsa and I)had to cut out some geometric shapes to make a math game where the kids measure angles and stuff. Then we had lunch, rite? I think so. after lunch we had top photocopy some stuff.we went to compass point and had cheese fries and a lemon tea after it.We went back and had to trim the shapes properly and string some 'angels' the kids made and hang them on the xmas tree. Elsa lost the needle. We had to label the shapes and measure the angles of it next. Then we went home. It was raining. Poo.
