Im getting more and more debate like in EVERYTHING I do. Like, for example, for today's CME lesson, we had to define what we thought of the value:Respect Though I ddin't have a dictionary with me, I wrote out the prepared definition in my mind (And written down as notes on my paper) like it was memorised straight out of the dictionary. My fellow debator was asking me if I copied from a dictionary, but it was her and not me who brought a dictionary to school every SINGLE day. And debate has also affected the ways I write things. Espcially when writing reflections. I will summerise everything into points and in the end, the reflection looks more like a five-minute speech. A debate speech. So that's what gonna become of my blog, I suppose.
First Point: Tuesday Blues and Friday Reds. (Literal Opposites)
My class is slightly weird. We are really tired on Tuesdays instead of Mondays and we get REALLY hyped up on Friday. Guess that's one diligence :)
Wait. Random note here. GO PHOEBE!!! MAKE US PROUD!!!!
For those who don't know Phoebe, she's the girl representing our class in a oritorical competition, and she got into the finals!!
Second Point: Adults are not necessary smarter than Children, or rather more harkworking than Chilidren.
For once, I totally go with Mrs Sushilla. She said that education is given to us at a young age because adults don't want to study. Which is nearly absoulutely true. Okay, I'm gonna be honest. My parents didn't recieve much education, and they only graduated out of sec school, that's all. So I became the family's secretary. Which anit VERY good. Cause ALL LETTERS are typed by me, or at least, edited by me. And by ALL I mean ALL. Letters of complain, enquires, conformation letters, applications, official doccuments and anything to do with black and white. And because I've gotten around to writing letters in a very adult-way or simply, the register resembles an adult, so they trust me completely. And I'm really afraid of messing everything up. And I can't do it sometimes, but am forced too. My mum says its cause I can write well and type fast enough without using a language that is 'my-age' so I am the best candidate for it. I tried to rebut in a polite way by saying that they could learn how to write and type fast too. But she said she was too lazy and ALL adults are the same. When ppl reach a certain age, they just get too lazy to learn cos they think they've know everything that is needed to survive. What happened to 'learning is lifelong'? I hate writing letters all the time. It just gets on my nerves that they aren't willing to learn. Not that I don't want to teach them. And, also, its really isnt about helping my parents to type a letter. Its about learning. And I was quite angry. If adults can pass laziness as an excuse for not learning,I don't see why we can't. I don't see why we have to work so hard. I don't see the logic in it. Aren't the adults supposed to be our role-model? Or maybe this world is just too corrupt. So corrupted that the innocent's child gets afflicted with all these impurities.
